Mikki is dedicated to supporting kids and individuals on their journey to emotional wellness. She has spent her career treating children, adolescents, and young adults with mental and behavioral health needs, recognizing that each path to wellness is unique. Mikki partners with children, families, and individuals to navigate these paths, ensuring no one has to do it alone.
Her career spans child welfare, trauma, abuse, neglect, and acute mental health care. At home, Mikki and her wife are raising six energetic kids, each with their own strengths and challenges, such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or developmental diagnoses. As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, Mikki has experience working with individuals of all identities and backgrounds.
Mikki grew up in a small town in Eastern Iowa, the oldest of four girls. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Central College and a Master’s in Social Work from St. Ambrose University. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Iowa. In her free time, Mikki enjoys family activities, biking, spending time outdoors, cheering for the Cyclones, and watching her children’s events.
