Dr. Keating is a dual board-certified adult and child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Keating completed his medical school training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine as well as his internship, general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dr. Keating has extensive experience and training in managing pediatric ADHD, OCD, mood disorders and autism spectrum disorder. A trained psychotherapist, Dr. Keating utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions in conjunction with expert medication management services into his psychiatric practice. Dr. Keating values building collaborative partnerships with his patients and their families.
A native of Des Moines, Dr. Keating is proud to serve the central Iowa community and believes that children deserve the best possible care for their mental health. Dr. Keating has faculty appointments with the University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry as well as the Broadlawns – UnityPoint Health Psychiatry Residency program. In his spare time, Dr. Keating can be found reading, writing and building legos.
