Zach is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is passionate about supporting individuals across the lifespan and has experience working with children as young as five years old through adults in their retirement years. Throughout his career, Zach has had the privilege of helping clients navigate a wide range of personal challenges while fostering resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful growth.

Zach’s approach to therapy is rooted in a client-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, respect, and individualized care. Zach strives to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to pursue their goals. He recognizes that every person’s journey is unique, so he tailors his therapeutic approach to meet each client’s specific needs. Zach’s practice incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.

Zach received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Iowa and is a proud Hawkeye fan. Zach has extensive experience in the mental health field, providing services in shelter and residential treatment settings, community-based programs, and outpatient therapeutic practice. Outside of his professional work, Zach enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two sons. He values opportunities to connect with family and friends, cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes, and unwind by playing a variety of tabletop games and video games.
